At this year’s International Defence and Security Exhibition of Spain (Feindef), held in Madrid, SAES presented a series of groundbreaking collaborations and technological advancements. From strategic partnerships and AI integration to next-generation underwater surveillance systems, SAES reaffirmed its role as a leader in maritime defence and innovation.

  • Agreement with Aragón Photonics for innovation in maritime detection using optical sensors
  • SAES and the European Centre for Business and Innovation of Cartagena (CEEIC) have signed a collaborative agreement aimed at enhancing artificial intelligence within the naval sector. This strategic partnership will boost innovation in underwater technologies, foster the entrepreneurial ecosystem, and contribute to the region’s economic and technological development.
  • Indra and SAES enter into a strategic partnership for infrastructure protection, acoustic systems, and simulation. The two companies are strengthening their ties at a time when the demand for safeguarding ports, maritime routes, and critical energy and communication infrastructures at sea is on the rise.
  • SAES and Satlink unveil Ocean Sentinel: cutting-edge technology for underwater surveillance and protection. Designed to operate autonomously, the system consists of smart buoys deployed at sea, supported by a remote-control centre that receives and analyses early alerts.
  • Thales integrates its advanced ‘Sonoflash’ sonobuoy into SAES’s SPAS system, installed on Airbus C295 Aircrafts . This partnership, initiated in 2021, has now come to fruition, enhancing the SPAS’s competitiveness in Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) and Maritime Surveillance fields.
  • SAES and Arisnova presented an innovative solution that integrates artificial intelligence and sonar technology for the detection of underwater objects. This collaboration is part of the ePark+ project, aimed at enhancing maritime defence and security through realistic simulations.
