This initiative is part of NIWC Pacific’s broader strategy to maintain sensor functionality through timely repairs and replacements, as well as to provide training for operators on these systems.

The sensors, developed under the principles of a modular open system approach and Sensor Open Systems Architecture, have been successfully incorporated into several programmes.

These include the Group 3 UAS, the Special Operations Command’s multi-mission tactical UAS, and the mid-endurance UAS, all of which support the Joint Threat Warning System Program Office.

BlueHalo Products and Space Systems Portfolio president Mary Clum said: “EW sensor integrations can be incredibly complex–spanning multiple airframes, information infrastructures, and domains to meet multiple mission needs.

“With our technical expertise and superior EW systems, BlueHalo provides customers with the modularity, scalability, and interoperability necessary to support a variety of platforms and configurations.”
