The Philippines Navy has awarded Anschuetz Singapore a contract to supply integrated navigation and bridge systems for six offshore patrol vessels (OPVs). Hyundai Heavy Industries will be building the OPVs, in South Korea.

The new OPVs are part of the Philippines’ defence modernisation programme and are designed to counter low-to-medium-intensity conflicts and peacetime operations.

Anschuetz Singapore will deliver the latest Synapsis NX technology for integrated navigation and bridge systems, providing immediate situational awareness and full integrated navigation capabilities. The system also comprises advanced sensors, including a marine inertial navigation system and a smart data distribution management that ensures reliable and consistent data and information throughout the navigation system.

Beyond the delivery of the system, Anschuetz Singapore is also responsible for commissioning and installation, setting-to-work, sea trials and training.

Anschuetz Singapore was established in 2009 as a subsidiary of Anschütz GmbH, a German-based manufacturer and integrator of navigation, bridge and mission systems. In the South East Asia region, Anschuetz Singapore is the centre of competence for the supply and integration of bridge systems and a wide range of technical services. It supplies advanced capabilities for navigation, command and control, and naval missions to customers from defence and commercial markets.

Anschuetz Singapore will demonstrate its bridge navigation and mission systems at IMDEX Asia 2023 in Singapore at booth P15 in the Singapore Pavilion.
