Using various available technologies, Imenco Camera Group designs and engineers high-quality marine closed-circuit television (CCTV) and underwater camera imaging technology for supply to navies, special forces, coastguards and security specialists around the world.

Naval surveillance systems for surface vessels

We have extensive experience designing, manufacturing and supplying specialised cameras and CCTV systems for surface navy vessels.

Imenco provides amphibious low-light surveillance systems (ALLSS) and helicopter operations surveillance systems (HOSS) with low-light capabilities and integrated MIL-SPEC CCTV surveillance systems for day and night surveillance, monitoring, safety and security purposes. These systems are available in standard definition (SD) monochrome, high-definition (HD) colour day/night, with analog and internet protocol (IP) options.

Our ALLSS and HOSS solutions include various camera and control capabilities that meet challenging high military-level specifications. These include shock (MIL-STD-901D ‘hammer’ shock test), vibration (MIL-STD-167-1A Shipboard), electromagnetic interference (EMI) (MIL-STD-461F), and temperature and humidity (MIL-STD-810F) standards.

We also provide monitoring for above and below deck, such as flight/helideck, well deck, hangar bay, engine room, machinery space and waterline security areas.

Military-approved, PTZ naval camera

The ODIN features the latest technology in intelligent imaging and video streaming. It uses an advanced 1/2.8in STARVIS CMOS sensor with a Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) and exceptional low light performance.

Key specifications of the ODIN camera include:

  • 30x optical zoom, with 16x digital zoom and ultra-low light sensitivity of 0.01 Lux in colour day mode
  • Auto ICR switches to night mode for extended ultra-low light (0.0001 Lux) sensitivity with monochrome imaging
  • Ultra-rugged, naval 4MP IP colour pan, tilt and zoom (PTZ) CCTV camera with integrated pedestal assembly, local junction box and interface cable assembly

The ODIN has been in the making for two years. This rugged PTZ is the perfect camera for external monitoring and situational awareness above decks on naval ships as well as for the limited lighting conditions in ship engineering spaces and below deck environments.

Moreover, ODIN has passed the necessary tests and is qualified to meet the strict US Navy requirements of MIL-S-901E ‘Hammer’ shock test, MIL-S-167-1A ship vibration, MIL-S-810G environmental and MIL-S-461G EMI for surface ship.

For more information on the ODIN PTZ Naval Camera, watch our Imenco ODIN PTZ Camera video.

Marine digital IP CCTV equipment for naval vessels

In addition to our entire military-qualified range, we also provide Imenco Marine CCTV, a ruggedised digital marine IP CCTV system.

Imenco Marine CCTV provides commercial-off-the-shelf surveillance monitoring as well as control and recording solutions.

The unit meets safety, security and reliability requirements for a range of commercial, coastguard and naval support vessels. It also delivers improved operational efficiency and an integrated working environment for safe and efficient management of critical vessel operations as well as the deployment and movement of ship personnel.

With a wide choice of camera viewing solutions, the system design allows for flexible configuration of operator stations with specific camera designs to suit all top-deck, below-deck and underwater monitoring applications.

System components take full advantage of the latest IP Network and Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) cabling infrastructure, simplifying installation requirements, increasing flexibility and significantly reducing installation costs.

Imenco Marine CCTV is economical and can be installed on vessels that require only a few cameras as well as larger vessels that need integrated units with hundreds of cameras.

The benefits of Imenco Marine CCTV are numerous. With the simplified, cost-effective system installation using Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) technology, the powerful and flexible video management software can be integrated with other vessel management solutions, including integrated platform management systems (IPMS) and integrated bridge systems (IBS).

Furthermore, the Open Network Video InterFace (ONVIF) compliant software and cameras allow endless integration possibilities, maximum system compatibility and flexibility, while a wide range of options and open platform allows the system to be easily customised and extended with custom solutions for access control, video analytics and other future technologies.

With DNV GL-type-approved rugged marine-grade system components for integrated bridge vessel solutions as well as Naval mil-spec and ultra-low-light camera and equipment options for extreme EMI, shock and vibration requirements, Imenco Marine CCTV can be seamlessly integrated with alarms, passive infra-red (PIR) detectors and fire-detection systems.

Global sales of the high-definition camera-viewing solutions for every monitoring application and vessel location, including topside, hazardous area, below-decks and subsea, are provided with local customer support from Imenco offices and our worldwide dealer network.

Submarine camera solutions

Imenco Marine and Naval Project Group manufacture high-performance fleet fit, low-light-level submarine camera systems for monitoring, navigation and tactical purposes. These can include, but are not limited to:

  • Towed array handling monitoring
  • Navigation assistance and visual confirmation
  • Diver deployment, dry deck shelter (DDS) monitoring
  • Periscope systems
  • Special operations

Imenco submarine camera solutions meet stringent MIL-SPEC qualifications, but further testing and remodeling can be carried out if required.
