Salient CRGT has won a new contract to support the US Navy’s Naval Education and Training Security Assistance Field Activity (NETSAFA) effort with the Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF).
As the US Navy’s agent for international education and training, NETSAFA organises and supplies training and support to international governments and organisations.
Through the International Security Assistance processes, the US Navy provides allied and coalition partners such as RSNF with command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems training.
It also provides logistics support and English language instruction to foreign nations.
Under the $70m contract, the company will provide training services, curriculum development, implementation and facilitation of courses both in the US and overseas.
Salient CRGT CEO Tom Ferrando said: “Our superior work on our existing RSNF contract combined with our extensive knowledge of technical and job-specific training development, proved to be the best value to the US Navy.

In October last year, Salient CRGT won an $18m C4ISR training contract and is now completely implementing this mission.
Salient CRGT noted that its team will make use of the lessons learned to ‘seamlessly transition the larger logistics and education support contract’ over the next two months.
