The US Navy Program Executive Office Space Systems (PEO SS) has awarded a multi-year contract to SBG Technology Solutions to provide support services for the navy’s on-orbit communications capabilities for open-ocean, littoral and naval land missions.
Support services to be offered in the PMW 146 contract include operational maintenance, logistics, training, development, system testing and evaluation.
It also involves production support and integration of navy, joint military, foreign military and commercial communications systems, as well as encrypted secure networks and communication links.
SBG contracts director Vic Blanco said: "We will use our longstanding experience with the navy and PEO SS to execute these mission-critical communications functions for the navy."
