ORBIT Communication Systems has been awarded a contract by an undisclosed Asian Navy for multiple OrBand (AL-7107) maritime C-Band VSAT systems.

Orbit Satellite Communications president Yosi Albagli said the compact footprint and lightweight OrBand allows deployment of global C-Band VSAT on a wider range of vessels, including smaller ships.

OrBand delivers RF performance while featuring a compact 2.7m (106in) radome.

The system supports extended C-Band and extended Ku-band frequencies, as well as multiple RF feeds enabling seamless global coverage.

Orbit’s systems are currently installed on over 3,500 marine platforms.
