Thales Nederland and HeiTech Padu Berhad have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to cooperate in the development of a Malaysian naval combat management system.

According to the MoU, both companies will develop and produce the Thales Tacticos combat management system for the second-generation patrol vessel in Malaysia.

HeiTech Padu will also be involved in the delivery of the Tacticos system currently built for the modernisation of the Kasturi Class.

An in-country support facility will also be established to serve the Royal Malaysian Navy with first-class systems and contribute to the development of the Malaysian defence industry.
