Northrop subsidiary AMSEC has been awarded an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) contract to provide shipboard, submarine and shore-based command, control, communications, computers and intelligence (C4I) global installation support.

The $794m multiple-award contract was awarded by the US Navy Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) and includes an option that, if exercised, would increase the value to $1.3bn.

Work will be performed in South Carolina, Virginia, Florida and San Diego, US, as well as in other continental US and worldwide areas.

The company is expected to complete work by January 2016.
