China apparel industry registered a 0.3% rise in IT hiring activity in July 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 5.96% in July 2021 compared with June 2021.
Out of the apparel industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 7.92% share in July 2021, recording decrease of 1.49% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in China apparel industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China apparel industry in July 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 84.68% in July 2021, a 1.37% drop over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed an 8.64% share, decline of 16.98% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 3.34%, registering a 37.04% decline from June 2021.
4) Computer and Information Research Scientists captured a share of 1.77%, flat growth over the previous month.
Top five apparel companies in China IT recruitment activity in July 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 3.09% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China apparel industry during July 2021 over June 2021.
Alibaba Group Holding posted 236 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered a rise of 15.12% over the previous month, followed by Jd with 134 jobs and a 4.96% drop. Robert Bosch with 48 IT jobs and Amazon with 29 jobs, recorded a 9.43% drop and a 42% decline, respectively, while Danaher recorded a 400% increase with 20 job postings during July 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 76.82%, down by 11.54% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 12.57% share, a decline of 13.51% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 7.86% share, up 60% over June 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 2.75%, recording a month-on-month increase of 1300%.
