The company’s subsidiary in the UK will compete with the companies under consideration during a competitive dialogue process that will end with a bidder announcement in the middle of 2011.
Raytheon Technical Services director David Appel said that the opportunity enables them to demonstrate to the Royal Navy an approach to develop tailored training solutions substantiated by results with customers across defense government and commercial markets thereby improving operational capability.
The contract is estimated at between $350m and $550m and has a six-year base period with 15 option years and is scheduled to begin in 2012.
