The US Navy has awarded a $33.8m contract to General Dynamics Information Technology to provide support services for the navy’s information technology/information management department.

Under the contract, the company will provide a wide range of services and products including information engineering, automation improvement, analytical and technical support for enterprise resource planning as well as hardware and software evaluation and selection.

In addition, services include configuration and maintenance of websites and servers, integration of systems and applications, database administration, production support, information assurance, network security support and imaging services.

Work will be carried out in Patuxent River, Maryland, and is expected to be complete by September 2010.

The contract has been awarded by Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Maryland.
