With a range of 160nm, the torpedoes are launched from the submarine’s 533mm tubes or a vertical launch tube. The missile uses an ARGS-54 active radar seeker and Glonass satellite and inertial guidance to destroy the submarines.
Under the five-year contract, the Zvezdochka shipyard will install the Klub-S cruise missile systems on the INS Sindhuratna, INS Sindhuraj, INS Sindhushastra, and INS Sindhuvir.
The work under the contract will be performed at Indian shipyards.
