Under the $90m MissionCare contract, the company will provide all maintenance, support, trouble-shooting, parts supply and logistics for both the F405 engine and the aircraft gas turbine starting system.
In addition, the company will provide complete propulsion services to more than 200 aircraft, operating at three naval air stations in Texas, Mississippi and Florida.
The agreement is part of a five-year contract awarded in 2008. Rolls-Royce manufactures the Adour engines in collaboration with Turbomeca.
T-45 is a fully carrier-capable training jet aircraft that has been used for intermediate and advanced portions of the navy and marine corps strike pilot training programme.
Work under the contract will be supervised by the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland.
