General Dynamics (GD) has been awarded a contract to evaluate the science, architecture, engineering, functionality, interface and interoperability of the US Navy cyberspace systems at the tactical, operational and strategic levels.

The $78.4m multiple-award, indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract is one of the four contracts and has a total potential value of $204m over five years if all options are exercised.

Under the contract, GD will provide basic and applied cyberspace research, digital forensics and reverse engineering capabilities, information operations expertise, cyber mission planning, doctrine and policy development, as well as modelling and simulation.

The company will also provide software design, implementation as well as demonstration, systems integration, test and evaluation.

Work will be broadly carried out at the company’s facilities in California and Texas, US.
