The first production system will be installed onboard the USS Dwight D Eisenhower (CVN 69) carrier and the second will be for the USS George Washington (CVN 73) aircraft carrier.
The distributed common ground system-navy (DCGS-N) will provide critical capabilities to the US Navy to access critical joint and national intelligence systems to support multiple mission areas.
The systems delivery is part of a five-year, $72m DCGS-N prime mission product contract for the delivery of 25 such systems.
BAE is also working to deliver upgraded system capabilities with an early adopter upgrade scheduled for installation on the USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) soon.
