Hagenuk Marinekommunikation - Naval VLF and SHF Radio Equipment

Hagenuk Marinekommunikation (HMK), is a subsidiary of Atlas Elektronik GmbH, Germany (a joint company of ThyssenKrupp and EADS). HMK is a well-known supplier of internal and external communication systems for naval and ground-to-air applications, with radios operating in the frequency range from VLF to SHF.

As a systems integrator and HF radio equipment manufacturer, we focus on the fields of Integrated Communication Systems (ICS) for naval vessels and HF ground-to-air applications. The broad product range includes:

SERIES 3000 HF RADIO FAMILY

HF Radio Series 3000 is a family of software-based, multi-purpose, high-performance and modular equipment that comprises the TRX 3015/3050/3100 transceivers (150W / 500W / 1kW), the TX 3400 (4kW), the TX 310K/FH (10kW Link 11 and frequency hopping) transmitters and the RX 3002 receiver.

The radios can be operated via the large front panel display which assists during menu-driven operation, and alternatively via the remote control terminal UT 3002. Parameter settings are achieved via soft keys and/or flywheel and appropriate keypad elements on the front panel.

The family features identical basic modules for VLF/HF receivers as well as for the transmitters. The modular design structure, available range of built-in and external system options, and extensive software support guarantee flexible adaptation to current and future radio communication requirements, including network applications.

SEICAM 1001 DIGITAL AUDIO AND DATA DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM

SEICAM 1001 is a modular and fail-safe digital audio and data switching system for internal and external communications, configured around one or several Digital Distribution Nodes DDN 1010. The system is designed for all kinds of marine ships as well as for land station applications.

SEICAM 1001 features a central or decentralized architecture providing non-blocking switching of digitized voice, data, and video (option) up to 256 channels per Digital Distribution Node DDN 1010. Optionally, the node capacity can be enhanced up to 512 channels, including a certain channel quantity reserved for network operation.

The system provides high flexibility with respect to the architecture, programmable communication scenarios and user station functions, and needs minimised cabling. All communication resources such as voice or data terminals, radios, modems, encryption devices etc. onboard can be connected for the purpose of channel allocation and switching.

The user stations are designed to provide maximum configuration and programming flexibility. Due to its modular design, the basic User Station UST 1005 can be extended to provide up to 57 assignable channels (UST 1025/1050).

System operation occurs via the Status Control Board SCB 1010 and / or the comfortable PC supported Remote Control System RCS 1010. These control units serve to program the connections and indicate the current communication status.

SEICAM 2000 - MESSAGE HANDLING AND CONTROL SYSTEM

SEICAM 2000 is an intelligent, multitasking and multifunction computer system, configured around the hardened workstation APR 2000 with the appropriate network distribution and terminal server subsystem. The system features:

• Message handling and formatting according to standards ACP 127, JANAP 128, ADatP-3 etc.
• IT security with level E2
• Network management: central control of the entire external and internal communication system
• Communication planning (COMPLAN)
• Optional X.400 server and certified X.400 filter
• High growth potential

The single workstation system is expandable to a networking multi-console client / server configuration providing sophisticated automated communications support for naval applications.
