The US Navy has awarded a contract to Boeing to provide support services for its C-40A aircraft.

Under the contract, which is worth over $100m, the company will provide support for the navy’s fleet of nine aircraft stationed at air stations in Fort Worth, Texas, NAS Jacksonville, Florida and California.

Currently, Boeing provides C-40A support services, including sustaining engineering, winglet modifications and other emergent needs.

Derived from the Boeing 737-700C, the C-40A is available in three configurations, including all-passenger, all-cargo and a combi configuration.

Work under the five-year contract will be carried out by the original equipment manufacturer of the C-40A, Boeing Global Transport & Executive Systems.
