The US Navy has awarded a $16.6m contract to microwave technology solutions provider Herley Industries to provide radio frequency (RF) modules.

Under the contract the company will provide complex integrated microwave assembly RF modules used in airborne threat simulators.

In addition, the company will provide repair services and engineering support among other requirements.

The contract has been awarded by the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, California.
