The US Navy has selected software engineering company Object Computing as an exclusive provider to the Phase 2 project for mission simulation software.

The application is being developed on systems such as the E2 Hawkeye airborne early warning system, surface surveillance coordination, strike and interceptor control, search and rescue guidance and communications relay aircraft.

Under the 18-month phase 2 programme, the company will develop a new suite of software tools to support simulation modelling and deployment of OpenDDS.

OpenDDS is the core messaging technology component in the new suite of tools the company has developed for real-time data distribution.

The company will enhance OpenDDS for real-time data distribution as part of the Small Business Innovation Research programme.
