The Royal New Zealand Navy (RNZN) ANZAC Frigates, HMNZ Ships Te Mana and Te Kaha, have been deployed to participate in the annual Exercise Triton Storm 2011 along with the Royal Australian Navy (RAN).

Exercise Triton Storm 2011, which takes place off the coast of Fremantle, Australia, involves participation from 340 RNZN personnel.

The RNZN ships will be training along with the RAN’s HMA Parramatta and HMA Ballarat.

The recently upgraded RNZN ships combat and weapon systems will be tested to prove their readiness for security and defence operations.
