Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Middle East & Africa with a share of 38.46% in June 2022, a 9.09% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 26.92% in June 2022, marking a 30% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 15.38% in June 2022, a 33.33% rise from May 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 3.7% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Middle East & Africa’s aerospace, defence & security industry during June 2022 over previous month.
Elbit Systems posted 16 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered an increase of 60% over the previous month, followed by Vectrus with 4 jobs and a 75% drop. Thales with 4 IT jobs and Airbus with 1 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Astronics recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during June 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Middle East & Africa’s aerospace, defence & security industry
Israel commanded a leading presence in the region’s aerospace, defence & security industry IT hiring activity with a 61.54% share in June 2022, a 60% increase over May 2022. Saudi Arabia featured next with a 7.69% share, up 100% over the previous month. United Arab Emirates recorded a 7.69% share, a flat growth compared with May 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 61.54%, down by 40.74% from May 2022. Mid Level positions with a 23.08% share, registered a growth of 500% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 15.38% share, down 33.33% over May 2022.
