BAE Systems is a UK headquartered defense corporation that is recognized for Business Expansion and Product Launches in the 2022 Naval Technology Excellence Awards.

The company won a number of significant contracts during the research period including from the US Navy for the sustainment of air traffic control systems as well as the provision of shore-based landing systems integration (LSI) support and support for instrument carrier and instrument landing systems (ICLS/ILS).

BAE Systems has also been working on different service vessels, completing the planned maintenance period of the British Royal Navy’s new River-class offshore patrol vessel (OPV) HMS Medway, as well as receiving a $184m US Marine Corps (USMC) full-rate production (FRP) contract for additional amphibious combat vehicles (ACV), as well as delivering their first amphibious combat vehicle command (ACV-C) variant to the US Marine Corps. 

In regards to weapons systems the company won a $164m US Navy design contract for the mechanical portion of the Mk 41 Vertical Launch System (VLS) as well as separately for the manufacture of next-generation missile seekers for the long-range anti-ship missile (LRASM). The company was also awarded a contract to deliver naval guns for the Belgian-Dutch Mine CounterMeasures Vessels (MCMV) programme; and was contracted by the Australian Department of Defence for round production of the next-generation Nulka decoys and launcher systems,
