US-based company The Boeing’s IT hiring declined 7.5% in April 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 6.81% in April 2021 when compared with March 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 37.05% share in the company’s total hiring activity in April 2021, and recorded a 1.21% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops The Boeing IT hiring in April 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by The Boeing, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 56.54% in April 2021, and a 0.37% growth over March 2021, while Computer and Information Research Scientists claimed a share of 23.21% in April 2021, and registered a 28.57% decline. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 11.18% in April 2021, a 34.57% drop from March 2021.

North America drives IT hiring at The Boeing

North America emerged as the leading region in the global aerospace, defence & security IT hiring activity in April 2021 with a 58.23% share, which marked a 30.3% drop over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 32.28%, registering a 15.91% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 9.28% share and a 29.41% growth over March 2021.

In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 0.21% and a month-on-month decline of 50%.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s aerospace, defence & security industry IT hiring activity with a 56.33% share in April 2021, a 31.54% decline over March 2021. India featured next with a 24.47% share, up 31.82% over the previous month.Australia recorded a 6.96% share, decline of 23.26% compared with March 2021.

Entry Level jobs lead The Boeing IT hiring activity in April 2021

Entry Level jobs held a share of 56.96%, up by 221.43% from March 2021. Mid Level positions with a 22.57% share, a decline of 56.85% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Junior Level job ads with 20.04% share, down 58.87% over March 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.42%, recording a month-on-month an increase of 100%.
