The top five companies accounted for 31% of patenting activity
Analysis of patenting activity by companies shows that Safran filed the most environmental sustainability patents within the aerospace, defence & security industry in Q4 2023. The company filed 115 environmental sustainability-related patents in the quarter, compared with 142 in the previous quarter. It was followed by RTX with 79 environmental sustainability patent filings, General Electric (49 filings), and Kolon (35 filings) in Q4 2023.
