SeaBotix

SeaBotix is a world leader in the design and manufacture of underwater remotely operated vehicles (ROVs). The Little Benthic Vehicles (LBV®) and vectored Little Benthic Vehicles (vLBV®) are the ideal choice in 1-2 person portable ROVs for military explosive and contraband detection, placing and retrieving tooling, port security, hull and infrastructure inspection, victim recovery and rescue, various sensor deployments, and general underwater observation where it is not necessary to place divers in harm’s way.

SeaBotix is known for revolutionary design, rapid engineering advancements, quality training, and reliable, stable and practical ROV systems.

MiniROVs for general observation

The LBV200-4 is our most compact, complete ROV package for general observation and light work, such as object recovery, with a depth rating of 200m (660ft). The LBV200-4 is simple to set up and operate, and includes a high-resolution color camera, depth and temperature settings. The standard lateral thruster allows for sideways flight and the ability to fight currents from any direction.

SeaBotix LBV200-4 MiniROV systems include the complete LBV vehicle, tethers in a selection of lengths, complete reel with slip ring, and an integrated control console. A variety of sensors, manipulator/attachments and other upgrades enhance its capabilities.
SeaBotix LBV300-5 MiniROV systems include the complete LBV vehicle, tethers in a selection of lengths, complete reel with slip ring, and an integrated control console. A variety of sensors, manipulator / attachments, and other upgrades enhance its capabilities.
Add the wheeled Crawler Skid Assembly with proprietary Vortex Generator to attach the LBV300-5 to ship hulls and other infrastructure for unprecedented stability.
All SeaBotix ROV systems are delivered in rugged shipping cases with a complete basic spares kit including spare thruster, as well as comprehensive documentation and manuals.
SeaBotix vLBV MiniROV systems include the complete vLBV vehicle, tethers in a selection of lengths, complete reel with slip ring, and an integrated control console. A variety of sensors, manipulator/attachments, and other upgrades enhance its capabilities.
Add the tracked Crawler Skid Assembly with proprietary Vortex Generator to attach the LBV300-5 to ship hulls and other infrastructure for unprecedented stability and sensor output in the most demanding conditions.
All SeaBotix vLBV MiniROV systems are delivered in rugged shipping cases with a complete basic spares kit including spare thruster, as well as comprehensive documentation and manuals.
SeaBotix training is recognized worldwide as some of the most comprehensive and professional available. Choose customized packages at our professional, waterfront factory or virtually anywhere you choose.

Many optional sensors are available including scanning and navigation sonars (allowing for operation in zero-visibility waters), tracking systems, and a single-function manipulator with multiple attachments. Recommended training is available either at the SeaBotix factory in San Diego, California, or onsite worldwide.

Stable MiniROVs with enhanced features

The LBV300-5 expands on the capabilities of the LBV200-4 by adding a second vertical thruster and an increased depth to 300m (1,000ft). The LBV300-5 is the choice system for port security, hull and infrastructure inspection, and light work such as object recovery and tool placement. Dual vertical thrusters increase the payload capability and power.

As with the LBV200-4, many optional sensors are available for the LBV300-5 ROV, and training is available either at the SeaBotix factory or onsite.

Add the revolutionary wheeled Crawler Skid Assembly with Vortex Generator and the system is capable of attaching to any relatively flat surface of any material, such as ship hulls and port infrastructure, for unprecedented stability – even in strong currents – providing the ultimate package used by military and port security teams worldwide. Sensor data is the highest quality possible with the operator not having to fight currents or continuously pilot the vehicle during critical infrastructure inspections.

Powerful MiniROVs

The vLBV300 series of SeaBotix ROVs uses the same powerful, vectored thrust system found on much larger ROVs in offshore applications. Vectored thrust provides high power in any horizontal direction allowing for unprecedented control, stability and capability necessary in open waters at depth. Dual vertical thrusters allow for higher payload capabilities and rapid vertical ascents/descents. The vLBV is available in 300m (1,000ft) and 950m (3,000ft) versions. Like the LBV200-4 and LBV300-5 MiniROVs, many optional sensors are available for the the vLBV300 series, including scanning and navigation sonars (allowing for operation in zero-visibility waters), tracking systems, and a single-function manipulator with multiple attachments. Training is available either at the SeaBotix factory or onsite.

Add the revolutionary tracked Crawler Skid Assembly with Vortex Generator and the system (vLBC) is capable of attaching to any relatively flat surface of any material, providing the ultimate package. Sensor data is the highest quality possible with the operator not having to fight currents or continuously pilot the vehicle during critical infrastructure inspections.

Factory and onsite training for MiniROVs

SeaBotix training is recognized as some of the most comprehensive and professional ROV training in the industry. Operators learn everything necessary to competently pilot, service and maintain LBV and vLBV systems. Training modules include general theory of operation, comprehensive maintenance, service and troubleshooting, piloting, sensor operation, and hull/infrastructure crawling. Training is available both at our waterfront facility in San Diego, California or onsite worldwide.

Our technicians have advanced ROV experience and enhance the capabilities of all levels of ROV pilots, from first-time users to experienced offshore operators. Training is pre-planned based on your specific system, sensors and capabilities, and generally runs from three to five days based on the complexity of the system and the operator’s experience level. Many military and security teams receive SeaBotix training each year, often returning for more advanced customized or refresher courses.
