Expal Signs Agreement with Ministry of Defence of Cyprus

The works will start in three months and includes the destruction of obsolete and outdated ammunition of the Cyprus National Guard.

With this agreement, signed on 11 October 2013, EXPAL will collaborate with the Cypriot Government in the controlled destruction of its obsolete ammunition.

The demilitarisation of the 2,150t of conventional ammunition, mostly artillery and mortar ammunition, will be held at the EXPAL´s facility in Bulgaria.

The factory in Bulgaria is one of the four demilitarisation plants that the company owns in Europe. In this plant important ordnance disposal programs are being carried out for several international organisations such as NATO and the UNDP (UN), as well as ministries of defence of countries all around the world.
