The SEACON® Group of companies has the expertise to design, prototype, qualify and manufacture an extensive and diverse range of electrical, optical and hybrid connector assemblies and cable system solutions for many applications within the oil and gas, defense, oceanographic and environmental markets.

Underwater electrical dry-mate connectors

SEACON®‘s well established MINI-CON range was originally developed for the purpose of supplying small diameter, high density and high pressure connectors. Dry mateable, this connector series is manufactured from 316 stainless steel as standard, although other materials are available upon request including Titanium and Monel®. The inserts are manufactured from Glass Reinforced Epoxy (GRE) with copper alloy, gold plated contacts although glass sealed inserts are also available for high pressure applications. The MINI-CON series also offers optical and hybrid versions along with PBOF-HP (High Pressure), reversed miniature inserts and self wiping miniatures.

  • Other features: oil filled hose as standard

Military-specification connectors

Our MIL-C-24231 series of connectors are manufactured and tested in accordance with the strict requirements of the Navy specification MIL-C-24231. Available in various shell sizes and contact configurations, plugs can be supplied terminated and molded into water proof cable assemblies or supplied in kit form. In addition, we also offer a GRE (Glass Reinforced Epoxy) overcoated version for applications where cathodic delamination is an issue. This version also offers a GRE backed polyurethane insert which eliminates water leakage through the connector when cable damage occurs. Some versions are also available in GRE Design.

Our M24217 series of hermetic connectors are manufactured and tested to the strict requirements of the Navy specification MIL-C-24217. This series of connectors is widely used in many undersea and military applications and is also suitable for any operation where pressure, humidity, or temperature are factors of performance. A full range of receptacle mounting styles are available and contact configurations range from single coaxial to 48 size #16 conductors. Some versions also available in GRE Design. As with all SEA CON® connectors, plugs can be supplied terminated and molded into water proof cable assemblies or supplied in kit form.

SEA CON® maintains certified molding facilities in both California and Rhode Island, USA for all Pro 20 requirements.
