Curtiss-Wright’s EMS division announced that it has received a contract award from the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC) for the supply of five (5) Recovery Assist, Secure and Traverse (RAST) Systems. The RAST Systems will be delivered to the Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, and installed on the US Navy’s Arleigh Burke-class Guided Missile Destroyers (DDG-51).

INDAL has been a proud supplier of the RAST System to the US Navy for over 40 years and has supported over 160 ships in the US. Navy fleet. The RAST System is an integrated system enabling helicopters to safely land and take-off in severe weather conditions, up to sea state 5/6. Upon landing, the system secures the aircraft and safely traverses the helicopter between the flight deck and hangar.
