ManTech has secured a $57m contract from Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane to develop technology solutions to support advanced expeditionary weapon systems.
Under the five-year contract, ManTech will develop systems intended for US Special Operations Command (SOCOM).

This contract was awarded to the company under the Department of Defense Information Analysis Center’s (DoD IAC) multiple-award contract (MAC) vehicle.
The DoD IAC programme is sponsored by the Defense Technical Information Center.
It offers technical data management and research support for DoD and federal government users.
NSWC Crane handles the research, prototyping, acquisition, test, evaluation and delivery aspects of expeditionary weapon systems for SOCOM Program Manager-Special Operations Force Lethality (PM-SOF Lethality).

This task order will see ManTech bring next-generation integrated weapon systems and ISR capabilities for crewed and uncrewed air, surface, subsurface, ground, and maritime mobility platforms.
The programme will benefit SOCOM systems and associated subsystems including weapons ammunition; optics; validation equipment; production equipment; sensor and fire control systems; mounts; rocket, missile and gun systems; integrated pilot and operator displays; crew-served weapon systems and associated mounts; and airframe integration systems.
Furthermore, the programme will provide ‘quick-reaction’ and engineering analyses for expeditionary weapon systems’ complete lifecycle management.
