EM Key Solutions (EMKS) has been selected as a prime contractor by the US Department of the Navy for the Seaport Next Generation (Seaport-NxG) contract.

The multiple-award indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract has a potential value of $52.5bn over a period of ten years.

The navy is awarding 1,870 IDIQ multiple-award contracts (MACs) to businesses in multiple locations across 46 of the 50 US states, the District of Columbia, and Guam. Contacts will cover future competition of support service requirements under the SeaPort-NxG multiple-award contract vehicle.

Contractual work is categorised in two service categories, which are engineering support and programme management. These are further divided into 23 functional areas, including systems engineering, software development, R&D, and system design documentation.

In addition, functional areas include technical data, financial analysis, quality assurance, configuration management, information technology and logistics support.

Under the contract, EMKS will compete with other businesses for individual task orders to support various units, including Naval Sea Systems Command, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, and the US Marine Corps.

Aery Aviation has also secured a prime agreement on the SeaPort-NxG contract vehicle to provide professional services.
