The French Navy has established an NH90 aircraft unit at Lanvéoc-Poulmic naval air base in Brittany, France.

The CEPA / NH90 Lanveoc unit will manage evaluation, trials and crew training from the base.

The unit will also finalise the operations of the fleet by 33 Flotille.

The navy expects to receive 27 NH90 aircraft by 2021, which will replace the Super Frelon and the Lynx aircraft, according to Shephard.
