Lockheed Martin is planning to deliver the first two of the US Navy MH-60R Seahawk helicopter to the Royal Danish Navy later this year.
The company will install digital cockpit and integrated mission systems and sensors in the first two aircraft, which arrived at its Owego facility earlier this month.

In 2012, the Danish Government selected nine MH-60R multi-mission maritime helicopters for its maritime helicopter replacement programme.
The MH-60R helicopter team includes Sikorsky Aircraft, Lockheed Martin, General Electric, Raytheon, and CAE.
The aircraft will support the Royal Danish Navy’s anti-surface warfare missions, anti-piracy operations, and will protect and defend the country’s interests in the North Atlantic during international deployments.
Denmark is expected to receive all nine helicopters from the US Navy by mid-2018.

By GlobalDataLockheed will work with three Denmark-based firms, Systematic, SSBV-Rovsing, and Weibel Scientific, for an electronic warfare support system solution, solar array simulator, and the next-generation Star Tracker.
Sikorsky Aircraft is building the MH-60R air vehicle, which features Lockheed Martin’s mission systems and sensors. The modular design of the vehicle allows it to adapt weapon systems for addressing specific mission needs.
The MH-60R can be operated from frigates, destroyers, cruisers, and aircraft carriers.
