Tactical Technologies - Tactical Engagement Simulation Software for Naval CountermeasuresTactical Technologies Inc. TACTICAL ENGAGEMENT SIMULATION SOFTWARE FOR ECM EVALUATIONTTI promotes a pragmatic ECM effectiveness evaluation methodology and a set of software tools it has developed to support the user in this analysis. The tools are marketed under the trade name 'Tactical Engagement Simulation Software' (TESS) and they allow the user to configure and validate system models, and then evaluate the interactions between anti-ship missile and target ship with electronic countermeasure capabilities. TTI’s physics-based approach to ECM analysis and effectiveness evaluation supports independent user driven research and indigenous EW knowledge development. TTI has two anti-ship missile ECM products; an active radar-guided anti-ship missile and a passive infrared-guided anti-ship missile. INTEGRATED ANTI-SHIP MISSILE DEFENCETTI also offers an integrated anti-ship missile defence simulation capability which can provide both soft and hard-kill missile countermeasure engagement simulations to explore higher level Command Information Centre (CIC) issues ranging from data fusion track processing through to fully automatic Threat Evaluation and Weapon Assignment (TEWA) algorithms. The user characterizes specific systems of interest with the input of appropriate parameter values into TESS's system models. The behavior of these models is then validated against known system behavior. With this accomplished, the user can then confidently evaluate system-on-system interactions in a simulated engagement between threat and target systems. WEAPON SYSTEM MODELING, TACTICAL ENGAGEMENT SIMULATION, AND COUNTERMEASURE EFFECTIVENESS ANALYSISTTI supports weapon system modeling, tactical engagement simulation, and countermeasure effectiveness analysis and evaluation in some of the most advanced EW laboratories in over 20 countries. TESS provides weapon system engineers, defence scientists and the military with analytical insight and quantitative data that can help them to optimize the operational performance of their anti-ship missile defence systems. ACTIVE / PASSIVE DECOY AND JAMMER SIMULATIONTESS supports a broad range of naval self protection capabilities including active decoys with noise and/or pulse repeater capabilities, passive decoys that can be deployed in a multi-layer defence tactic, and sophisticated on-board jammers. These can be selectively experimented with in dynamic missile engagement simulations under various conditions and signal environments utilizing various tactics that include platform maneuveurs, and the controlled activation of various countermeasure techniques. TESS generates miss distance and probability of survival results for each simulated engagement to support effectiveness evaluations. The TESS master interface provides the user with a database management tool for his data sets and a simulation manager for Monte Carlo and / or deterministic batch running of simulations. TESS is Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software that runs on standard PCs with Windows, MATLAB and Simulink and is available with source code and detailed software documentation for custom development by the user. Other options include a three-dimensional virtual reality graphics display, multiple missile salvos, and customization. TESS is an export-controlled technology and only utilizes open-source material. It does not contain any classified data although its input parameters are compatible with EWIR data.
