INTEGRATED COMMUNICATIONS CONTROL SYSTEM (ICCS)

ICCS provides secure, fast and reliable communications for any type of warship, from patrol boats and submarines to aircraft carriers. The ICCS is a state-of-the-art system aimed at efficient control and management of the ship's overall communications, namely:

• Internal and external communications
• Equipment remote control and real-time monitoring;
• Frequency management service
• Gateway to the Combat Management System (CMS)

A flexible design enables a variety of system implementations, as far as the architectural aspects are concerned. Depending on the ship size and operational role, either centralised or fully distributed versions can be selected.

The system is essentially composed of:

• NAU switching units, providing the necessary digital and analogue interfaces to the communications system components, also holding responsibility for the switching and signal distribution functions
• Voice terminals, through which external and internal voice communications are performed
• Communications Control Computers (CCC), enabling a single operator to take care of the full control and supervision of the system: through a user-friendly man-machine interface, a comprehensive set of tools is available to the operator, helping him to perform his duties efficiently and with minimum effort

ICCS is definitely a step forward in shipboard communications. Based on the vast EID experience in the naval communications field, the system concept is fully proven, its outstanding performances being internationally recognised.

MOST4 SHIPS – AUTOMATIC MESSAGE HANDLING SYSTEM

MOST4 Ships is an automatic message handling system, featuring a comprehensive set of facilities aimed at reducing the overheads of traditional, on-board message management tasks. Providing a substantial degree of automation, the system reduces the operator's workload, thus minimising the likelihood of occurrence of operational and administrative mistakes.

The reduction of the ship's complement, as far as skilled communication operators are concerned, is also a significant benefit.

MOST4 Ships supports the simultaneous operation of all circuits (ship-shore, inter-ship, local and area broadcasts) in accordance with ACP127 message formats and procedures.

STANAG 4406 compliant solutions can also be integrated in MOST 4 Ships, fulfilling ship message requirements in a transition period from ACP 127 to Tactical MMHS.

RRCS – RADIO REMOTE CONTROL SYSTEM FOR COMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT

RRCS can be tailored and configured to provide the centralised remote control of any type of communications equipment, enabling the effective control and monitoring of its working parameters.

The system is composed of:

• Remote Interface Units (RIU), providing the necessary remote control interfaces to the communications equipment
• Control Computers (CC), enabling a single operator to take care of the full control and supervision of the system

ICS – INTEGRATED COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM

EID provides external and internal Integrated Communications Systems (ICS) for any type of warship. Acting as communications system integrator, EID provides the system design and engineering, services and the communications equipment.
