ONBOARD FIRE DETECTION

The Salwico fire detection systems' creators have more than 40 years of experience, and today Salwico is one of the most well-known brand names within the marine safety market. Consilium have been developing fire detection systems for five generations and today our systems are regarded as the top of the line.

With more than 13,000 systems installed, Consilium's systems can be found on all kinds of vessels, such as cargo ships, yachts, large cruise ships and also on submarines and other navy vessels. The Salwico range consists of both conventional systems and addressable systems, and all products are type-approved by all major classification societies worldwide.

NAVY INSTALLATION SALWICO FIRE AND GAS DETECTION SYSTEMS

Efficient fire alarm systems are of vital importance for the protection of lives and assets at sea. To meet these demands Consilium offers state-of-the-art fire alarm systems, developed for the most demanding marine environments. Salwico have a long tradition of supplying fire detection systems for navy applications. Consilium Marine supplies products to all kind of naval ships, submarines, patrol ships, corvettes, destroyers, etc.

Consilium is the world leader on the international marine market for fire and gas detection systems. Consilium has a market share of approximately 40% and an even larger one within special segments such as cruise ships (65%) and LNG ships (55%).

Customers in both these segments require a high level of safety and professional performance from their suppliers, and Consilium Marine is the first supplier to deliver a system intended for using a gas detection system in inert gas environments in WBT spaces.

CS4000 FIRE DETECTION SYSTEMS

The Salwico CS4000 fire detection system is a fully adaptive analogue addressable fire detection system. A version of CS4000 has been developed for navy customers. This system has been chosen for both submarines in Germany (HDW) and in Spain (Navantia). The CS4000's communication method offers very reliable fire detection with protection against unwanted alarms. The interaction between CS4000 and the new Evolution detector family ensures a truly reliable and redundant fire detection system.

The ServoFighter is a small, compact and high-quality fire detection system which is easy to operate and cost-effective, making it ideal for patrol boats, fishing boats, tugs, yachts and dredgers.

SALWICO GAS DETECTION SYSTEMS

Consilium's current product range comprises the SW2020 sampling type system and the unique loop-configured analogue addressable GS3000 system. Salwico gas detection systems are designed and developed to meet all major classification societies' requirements, EN-54 rules and, in parts, MED standards.

Consilium provide standard and custom-designed solutions for navy vessels, COTs, PCs and LNGs.

SALWICO SAFETY INTEGRATED FIRE AND GAS DETECTION SYSTEM FOR LNG

As fire and gas detection systems become more competent and adaptive, the demand for verified solutions and interfaces for sharing vital information has grown.

With the LNG safety concept Consilium Marine combine the Salwico fire detection system CS3000 with the world's first and most-proven loop-configured analogue addressable gas detection system (Salwico SW2020), on a redundant system loop connected to an IAS or similar. With this design we offer the freedom of choice to connect any 4mA to 20mA gas detector, and present its status on the display with related clear text information.

SALWICO EMISSION MONITORING SYSTEM

The Salwico emission monitoring system measures NOx\SO2 and CO2 in accordance with IMO resolutions and the NOx technical code. The system, type-approved by Lloyds Register (certificate number 07/00043), measures emissions of oxides of nitrogen (NOx), sulphur dioxide (SOx) and the greenhouse gas CO2 from the engine exhausts of marine diesel engines.

The Salwico emission monitoring system uses well-proven monitoring technology including chemiluminescence (as prescribed in the NOx technical code), and is the first system to meet the IMO requirements of:
