Work related to this agreement will be performed at a new advanced engineering and technology centre.
The new vessel will allow NavyX to conduct more trials at sea, boosting fleet’s operations.
The vessel is now set to take part in Nato’s taskings before it embarks on its future deployments.
Work will include support for configuration management of all in-service submarines’ combat systems.
The company will provide through-life support for its Artisan radar and CMS equipped on NAM Atlântico.
Two Russian submarines have surfaced separately in the North Sea on 16 and 19 July.
The helicopter demonstrator is expected to take its maiden flight in 2025.
