VSE Corporation has received a delivery order to provide in-country technical assistance and support to the Egyptian Navy’s (EN) Perry-class guided missile frigates.

The order has been awarded under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Naval Ship Transfer and Repair (N*STAR) contract, through the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) International Fleet Support Program.

Under the $37m contract, VSE will provide an in-country technical assist team (ICTAT) and Continental United States (CONUS) project management team to provide support services.

The teams will provide technical, logistics, training, facilities and administrative support to the EN Follow-On Technical Support (FOTS) Program for the former Perry-class FFGs.

Work under the contract will be carried out over a period of 13 months.

A number of the US Navy’s former Oliver Hazard Perry-class frigates have been transferred to countries including Pakistan, Bahrain, Egypt, Poland, and Turkey.

Additionally, the company has received three more orders totalling nearly $22m. One of the contracts involves the company procuring sets of cabling and support equipment for the Japan Ministry of Defense (JAMOD).
