The US Navy’s third littoral combat ship, Fort Worth (LCS-3), has completed the Builder’s Sea Trials in Green Bay and Lake Michigan, US.

The trials were jointly conducted by the US Navy and Lockheed Martin team including Marinette Marine Corporation (MMC).

During the trials, the ship’s propulsion, communications, navigation and mission systems were tested to determine its operational readiness.

The vessel also underwent manoeuvrability tests, high-speed runs, rescue boat launch and recovery and tracking exercises, with other ship and system evaluations.
