Raytheon has received a contract from the US Navy’s Naval Air Systems Command to provide LAU-116B/A missile launchers.

Under the $83m contract, the company will provide missile launchers for use on F/A-18E/F and EA-18G aircraft.

The missile launchers will provide the aircraft with structural and electrical interfaces to carry and launch missiles such as AMRAAM, Sparrow and Sidewinder missiles.

The contract has two one-year options and a $7.3m firm-fixed-price delivery order for production through December 2013.

Work will be carried out at the company’s facility in Indianapolis, US.
