Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Division vice-president and general manager Mike Twyman said: "The rigorous testing verified the technology maturity and validated the effectiveness of our systems integration."
The test was conducted to evaluate complete programme requirements including improved system management with integrated cybersecurity and hosting multiple mission applications capabilities in operationally simulated afloat environments.
The CANES programme aims to provide streamlined and updated shipboard network systems for improved interoperability and affordability across the fleet.
The system will enter the production and limited deployment phase.
