Lockheed Martin has developed a tactical Smartphone network, the MONAX system, for use by the US Marine Corps (USMC) during disaster relief and humanitarian aid missions.

Lockheed Martin has developed a tactical Smartphone network, the MONAX system, for use by the US Marine Corps (USMC) during disaster relief and humanitarian aid missions.

The MONAX system features smartphone technology with secure, portable infrastructure to provide war-fighters with easy communication capability and to ensure mission success.

The system enables users to securely send and receive information as well as to remain connected to a single base station.

The system also provides a 4G private network to access voice, data and video services through commercial smartphone technologies anywhere in the world.
