The US Naval Sea Systems Command has awarded a $490.64m contract modification to Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Training in support of Aegis Weapon System MK-7.
As part of the contract, Lockheed Martin will produce MK-7 ship sets, spares and engineering services for the US Navy, the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force and the Republic of Korea Navy.
The contractual work is expected to be completed in mid-2022.
Superior Electric has secured a contract valued at $39.42m from the US Naval Surface Warfare Center to provide voltage regulators for use aboard the US Navy’s ships.
Under the contract, Superior Electric will produce automatic voltage regulators at Plainville plant in Connecticut, through August 2021.
The US Navy has awarded a component supply order to Sheffield Forgemasters International.
The $30m-worth contract requires Sheffield Forgemasters to build and supply parts for Columbia-class nuclear missile submarines.
Raytheon has received a Naval Strike Missile (NSM) launcher production contract from Kongsberg Defence Systems.
The NSM launchers will be produced by Raytheon at its Louisville facility in Kentucky, for use by the US.
Cambridge Pixel has been selected to supply software equipment in support of the UK Royal Navy’s Navigation Radar Programme.
The contract has been awarded by Lockheed Martin Integrated Systems UK and includes the supply of software modules, which will be fitted to Lockheed Martin's naval vigilance radar system.
