US Naval Air Systems Command has awarded a $203.71m prime contract to ERAPSCO, a joint venture of Sparton Corporation and Ultra Electronics USSI, for the manufacture of sonobuoys.

The three-year contract covers sonobuoys of various types including AN/SSQ-36, AN/SSQ-101, AN/SSQ-53, AN/SSQ-62, and AN/SSQ0125.

General Dynamics Electric Boat has been awarded a contract modification valued $176.2m by US Naval Sea Systems Command to perform repair works on the USS Montpelier submarine.

Scheduled to be completed in March 2018, the modification requires General Dynamics to conduct maintenance, modifications, testing and repairs on the USS Montpelier.

BAE Systems has secured a $600m US Navy contract for the supply of Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS) laser-guided rockets for the US Armed Forces and international customers.

The multi-service contract allows BAE Systems to increase production of APKWS rockets to 20,000 units a year.

Patriot Contract Services will operate and maintain eight Watson-class large medium-speed roll-on/roll-off (LMSR) cargo vessels of the US Military Sealift Command (MSC), under a one-year contract modification.

Valued $60.66m, the modification will support the MSC’s prepositioning programme needs.

The contractual work is scheduled to be completed by September next year.

The US Navy has awarded a multiple award contract worth $112.62m to six companies to provide curriculum maintenance and development support for the Naval Education Training Command’s (NETC) Naval Training Products and Services Programme.

The contract has a three-year base period with a three-year extension option.
