Cubic Global Defense has been contracted by the US Naval Air Warfare Centre (NAWC) to support aviation training for the US Navy and the US Marine Corps (USMC).
The nearly $80m task order is the first award under the NAWC Training Systems Division’s (NAWCTSD) indefinite delivery / indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract.
The contract has an estimated maximum value of $1.75bn and a performance period of five years.
Under the task order, Cubic will offer operations and maintenance support for the F/A-18 and EA-18G aviation training devices and simulators at Naval Air Station (NAS) Oceana, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Miramar, NAS Lemoore, NAS Whidbey Island, and MCAS Beaufort.

“When coupled with the important operations, maintenance and instructional work we currently perform with Navy and Marine Corps aircrew and training simulators in other locations, this new contract allows us to meet our customer’s training needs with a set of innovative end-to-end solutions.”
