CACI has received a contract for the delivery of an array of business information technology and command and control (C2) solutions to the US Navy.

Awarded under the IT enterprise solutions-2 services (ITES-2S) contract vehicle, the $45m contract features one base and one option and covers IT and C2 solutions delivery to the US Navy’s Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SSC) Atlantic.

Specific services to be provided by the company will include full lifecycle development and deployment support for the broad array of systems and programmes managed by SSC Atlantic for the command’s diverse capabilities.

CACI US operations president and chief operating officer John Mengucci said the company will provide ongoing support to help enable the command to deploy enhanced capabilities in the IT and command and control arenas.

"One of our overarching goals is to help to keep our armed forces informed, equipped and mission-ready."

In addition, the company will provide IT systems, which can deliver data, support decision making and execute business activities including financial management, logistics management, travel management and medical systems for the US Navy.

CACI president and chief executive officer Ken Asbury said: "The support we provide is also well suited to one of our overarching goals of helping to keep our armed forces informed, equipped and mission-ready."

SSC Atlantic serves as the premier command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) command for the US Navy for the acquisition and lifecycle management of communications and warfare systems.

SSC Atlantic aims to rapidly deliver and support solutions that enable information dominance for naval, joint, national and coalition soldiers.
