India’s Naval Air Force has taken delivery of the overhauled ?u-142?E long-range anti-submarine aircraft from Beriev Aircraft.

The eight ?u-142?E aircraft, built in Taganrog for the Indian Navy in the late 1980s, have undergone all appropriate repair trials prior to the delivery and have now departed for their air bases.

Beriev Aircraft teamed with Rosoboronexport to provide repair and service life extensions for the ?u-142?E aircraft.

The company will also provide overhaul and logistics support for the aircraft fleet, including repair and supply of spare parts, till 2020.
