Boeing has submitted bids for two contracts to provide a complete range of aviation services to the US Navy.

The US Naval Air Systems Command is expected to award the contracts, which have an estimated combined value of $600m over five years, in February 2011.

The contracts cover service support for 170 aircraft including the F / A-18, V-22, P-8 and AV-8B, and will support unmanned airborne systems and other aircraft platforms.

The bid covers aircraft maintenance, modifications and aircrew services support for the Navy’s Atlantic and Pacific regions.
