Israeli nuclear-armed Dolphin-class submarines have been prohibited from being tested in Norwegian territorial waters.

Israel was to examine deepwater performance of its submarines at the Marvika submarine base in southern Norway.

Norway cited the reason behind the ban as Israel’s hostile acts towards its neighbours and potential of further aggressions.

The submarine is equipped with nuclear-head cruise missiles and can remain submerged for up to three weeks, according to Press TV.

Norwegian Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Store said materials or services would not be offered to parties that either are or could become engaged in war.
