International Systems Operations of OSI Geospatial is to supply its defence Ecpins W (Sub) software to the UK Royal Navy’s Astute Class submarine.

OSI president and CEO Ken Kirkpatrick said the software chosen for the UK Royal Navy’s nuclear attack will provide the submariner with a clear tactical advantage in open ocean and complex littoral battlespace.

The Ottawa-based defence firm has provided hardware to the Canadian Department of National Defence, the Brazilian Navy and the Royal Australian Navy.
